Virtual Discussion: "Insurrection and Impeachment"

Join fellow Phi Betes for a virtual discussion of the legal issues raised by the insurrection and impeachment. Our discussion leader will be Robert (Bob) Sedler, a former board member of the Greater Detroit Association Phi Beta Kappa, an expert in constitutional law, and a distinguished professor at Wayne State University Law School. Professor Sedler will limit his prepared remarks to 20 minutes to allow ample time for questions and answers.

Please RSVP here if you plan to attend. You will receive the Zoom link via email the day before the meeting.

Lunch and Learn: Tech Talk

Enjoy a virtual lunch with PBK Detroit as we watch U-M computer scientist Kentaro Toyama's TEDxTokyo talk, in which he lays out his theory about a myth of scale surrounding technology's ability to solve complex global problems. Does this distracts us from what really matters, he provocatively asks? We welcome perspectives from all academic and professional disciplines.

Please RSVP here if you plan to attend. You will receive the Zoom link via email the day before the meeting.
