Ford Rouge Factory Tour
The Rouge Factory is a pioneering industrial complex transformed into a showcase for modern manufacturing and sustainable design. Join fellow PBK members for a walking tour of the Rouge where we will learn about its history, view the state-of-the-art assembly line for F-150 trucks, experience virtual reality theater, and see one of the largest living roofs in the world. Docents will include Susan Bristol, member of the Greater Detroit Association PBK.
After the tour, we will gather for lunch and conversation at Plum Market Café inside The Henry Ford.

Young Professionals Virtual Happy Hour - Welcome New Inductees!
The Greater Detroit Association PBK’s online happy hours are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month. In April, we will host it on April 13th, shortly after the PBK induction ceremonies at the University of Michigan and Alma College. Happy hours are tailored toward Young Professionals (members who have graduated in the past 10 years), but any Phi Beta Kappa member is welcome. This is a great opportunity to meet new inductees, network and learn more about Young Professionals and the Greater Detroit Association. We hope to see you there!

Cabaret at Hilberry Gateway, Detroit
Hilberry Gateway is the newly renovated home of Wayne State University's performing arts program, which includes the oldest graduate repertory program in the U.S. The first major production on the new stage is Cabaret, the award-winning, exuberant, and at times horrifying musical set in late 1920's Berlin as Hitler is rising to power.
We invite you to join us for the 2:00 PM matinee on Saturday, April 15, at the STAGE - Hilberry Gateway (4715 Cass Ave, Detroit). After the show, we will gather for drinks, snacks, and conversation at the Common Pub (5440 Cass Ave, Detroit).

Spring Book Club Virtual Meeting
Our Spring book choice is The Years by the iconic French memoirist, Annie Ernaux. Published in France in 2008, The Years is a personal narrative of the period 1941 to 2006. It was translated into English in 2017 and won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature.

Arabic to English at Theatre Nova, Ann Arbor
Join us for the world premiere of Arabic to English by David Wells. In a high-stakes trial, Faheem, an Arab America man, is accused of fraudulent marriage to gain a visa. Losing in court will send him to a country he barely knows. His interpreter, Amina, is a young Arab American woman about to be married to Faheem's white American trial lawyer. When romance blossoms between the interpreter and the defendant, Amina must decide which words to translate and which to leave unspoken.
Theatre Nova is a small, intimate theater with open seating. It is located at 410 W Huron St., Ann Arbor, MI 48103 and has free parking in the adjacent lot.

Tour of Detroit's Museum of African American History
Join fellow PBK members and their guests for a docent-led tour of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History (315 E Warren Ave, Detroit, MI 48201). Our visit will coincide with two special exhibitions inspired by The Negro Motorist Green Book, an annual guidebook for Black American road-trippers published during the Jim Crow era. Following the tour, we can have lunch together at a nearby restaurant.

Key Connections Trivia Social
Join us for an afternoon of food and trivia games at Revel & Roll (1950 S Industrial Hwy, Ann Arbor, MI 48104). This is an opportunity to meet fellow PBK alumni and to learn more about the Greater Detroit Association. This event is hosted in conjunction with The Phi Beta Kappa Society's annual Key Connections programming to welcome recent inductees and members who recently relocated to SE Michigan.
Registration is free for PBK members who were inducted after 2018 and/or moved to SE Michigan since 2021. Registration is $22 per person for all others, including guests of PBK members. Please register here before September 20.

Annual Luncheon Meeting With Guest Speaker
We invite PBK members and their guests to the annual meeting and holiday lunch at Red Run Golf Club (2036 Rochester Rd, Royal Oak). We will introduce our 2023 scholarship winners and elect the 2024 executive board. Our featured guest will be Jerry Herron, the founding dean and dean emeritus of the Irvin D. Reid Honors College at Wayne State University. Dr. Herron will share highlights from his intriguing new book manuscript Living With Detroit.
